AFRICAN BEAUTY
EDITORIAL

For centuries, the fashion industry has worshipped a western ideal of beauty, perpetuating and praising a single standard while rejecting all other variations of beauty. This exclusive focus on a specific set of criteria created a narrative that if one did not conform to these standards, they would never be considered adequate or beautiful.

The photoshoot entitled "AFRICAN BEAUTY" aims to directly challenge these westernised ideals and their detrimental effects. It sends a powerful message that beauty does not exist within a single visual identity but manifests itself in numerous diverse forms. The concept of beauty should be inclusive, embracing and celebrating the uniqueness and individuality of each person.
